Band Aid was a charity
supergroup featuring leading British and Irish musicians and recording
artists. It was founded in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise
money for anti-poverty efforts in Ethiopia by releasing the song "Do
They Know It's Christmas?" for the Christmas market that year.
The name Redbone itself is a joking
reference to a Cajun term for a mixed-race person ("half-breed"), the
band's members being of mixed blood ancestry
Redbone is a rock band from the 1970s. The band was formed in Los
Angeles, California by the brothers Pat and Lolly Vegas, two Native
Americans, in 1968.
We were all wounded at wounded knee
You and me
We were all wounded at wounded knee
You and me
In the name of manifest destiny
You and me you and me you and me.
They made us many promises
But always broke their word
They penned us in like Buffalo
Drove us like a heard
And finally on the reservation
We were going for our preservation
We were all wiped out by the seventh Calvary
You and me you and me.
We were all wounded at wounded knee
You and me
We were all wounded at wounded knee
You and me
In the name of manifest destiny
You and me you and me you and me.
Now we make our promises
We won't break our word
Well sing, sing, sing out our story
Till the truth is heard
There's a whole new generation
Which will dream of veneration
Who were not wiped out by the seventh Calvary
You and me you and me.
We were all wounded at wounded knee
You and me
We were all wounded at wounded knee
You and me
In the name of manifest destiny
You and me you and me you and me.
I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can beat them, just for one day
We can be heroes, just for one day
And you, you can be mean
And I, I'll drink all the time
'Cause we're lovers, and that is a fact
Yes we're lovers, and that is that
Though nothing, will keep us together
We could steal time, just for one day
We can be heroes, for ever and ever
What d'you say?
I, I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim
Though nothing, nothing will keep us together
We can beat them, for ever and ever
Oh we can be heroes, just for one day
I, I won't be king
And you, you won't be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can be heroes, just for one day
We can be us, just for one day
I, I can remember (I remember)
Standing, by the wall (by the wall)
And the guns, shot above our heads (over our heads)
And we kissed, as though nothing could fall (nothing could fall)
And the shame, was on the other side
Oh we can beat them, for ever and ever
Then we could be heroes, just for one day
We can be heroes
We can be heroes
We can be heroes
Just for one day
We can be heroes
We're nothing, and nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying, then you better not stay
But we could be safer, just for one day
Let's take a walk together
near the ocean shore
hand in hand
you and I.
Let's cherish ev'ry moment
we have been given
for time is passing by.
I often pray before I lay
down by your side;
If you receive your calling before I awake

nothing stays the same

Sam
you've been waiting much to long
Now it looks like she's not coming home.
Sam
you've been loyal
true and faithful
All this time with being alone.
If I could get that same dedication
I'd give you everything in creation
If she doesn't come back
Chor: If she doesn't come back
I'll be your substitute
Whenever you want me
Don't you know I'll be your substitute
Whenever you need me
Sam ev'ry day you waited for her
I've been waiting here for you.
Sam
all this time I've been lonely
I know what you've been going through
I'll wait until our chances occur
'Cos you can't keep relying on her

Chor: If she doesn't come back.
I'll be your substitute
Whenever you want me
Don't you know I'll be your substitute
When ever you need me
Each day by your window you
sit and sigh hoping to see
her face.
Ay
you might as well forget
about her and find someone
to take
her place.
Chor: If she doesn't come back
A great song and the
music is super! I always turn on
I still dream of organon.
I wake up crying.
You're making rain
And you're just in reach
When you and sleep escape me.
You're like my yo-yo
That glowed in the dark.
What made it special
Made it dangerous
So I bury it
And forget.
But every time it rains
You're here in my head
Like the sun coming out--
OohI just know that something good is going to happen.
And I don't know when
But just saying it could even make it happen.
On top of the world
Looking over the edge
You could see them coming.
You looked too small
In their bigblack car
To be a threat to the men in power.
I hid my yo-yo
In the garden.
I can't hide you
From the government.
Ohgoddaddy--
I won't forget
'cause every time it rains
You're here in my head
Like the sun coming out--
OohI just know that something good is going to happen.
And I don't know when
But just saying it could even make it happen.
The sun's coming out.
Your son's coming out.
Finally I know who the

I feel strong Put your fingers on my hips and dance I feel strong When I kissed your Spanish lips, romance
Eva, you make the waves dance On a calm, blue sea
(I feel strong) You;re the one that make this world look brighter (I feel strong) Your smiling face makes everything look good
(I feel strong) Like a butterfly dances on a moonbeam (I feel strong) Like a summer leaf floating on a wildest stream
(I feel strong) You;re the one that make this world look brighter
(I feel strong) Your smiling face makes everything look good

Last Weekend I had
a lost girl in my cabb and her friend and family was so
worried.
On that moment they couldnt reach her and to her and to all
the lost ones I
dedicate this song ....
who's gonna tell you when
it's too late
who's gonna tell you things aren't so great
you can't go on
thinking nothing's wrong
who's gonna drive you home tonight
who's gonna pick you up when you fall
who's gonna hang it up when you call
who's gonna pay attention to your dreams
who's gonna plug their ears when you scream
you can't go on
thinking nothing's wrong
who's gonna drive you home tonight
who's gonna hold you down when you shake
who's gonna come around when you break

1993 Rem- Everybody
Hurts.
A great song with a even
greater text from a great group!
When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone, when you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on. Don't let yourself go, everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes.
Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along. When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on) if you feel like letting go, (hold on) when you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on.
Everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends. Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand. [If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long, when you think you've had too much of this life to hang on.
Well, everybody hurts sometimes, everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes. And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. (Everybody hurts. You are not alone.)

If you're a stranger here
And you need some action
We have a remedy
That could really catch on
Pleased to see another face
At light-up time
If you're feeling dull and run-down
We can really make you shine.
Dancing in the city
Alleys that we run through
Now we've just begun to
Have fun tonight.
Dancing in the city
Alleys that we run through
Now we've just begun to
Have fun tonight.
Can you feel the darkness call
Let the streets have their way
They'll carry you on 'til morning
And steal your soul away.
Dancing in the city
Alleys that we run through
Now we've just begun to
Have fun tonight.
Now he's free not like you
and me
They treat him like a star
you see
Now he's got the key
he's fancy free
He doesn't hide from extasy
Do you hear me
Do you hear me
He's with the angels and the sun in the sky
He's a rock and roll star
He's got it made
plays it straighter than straight
He's a rock and roll star
Yes
he's a rock and roll star
A super star - he feels fine.
A super star - he feels fine.
Would you believe
oh
he lives without grieve
They let him go on new years eve
Fortune and fame
oh
what a shame
There ain't nobody left to blame
Do you hear me
Do you hear me

From Grease
"Summer Nights" is
a popular song from the musical Grease. Written by Jim Jacobs
and Warren Casey
Summer lovin' had me a
blast - summer lovin', happened so fast
I met a girl crazy for me - I met a boy, cute as can be
Summer days driftin' away, to uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me
more, did you get very far?
Tell me more, tell me more, like, does he have a car?
She swam by me, she got a
cramp - he went by me, got my suit damp
I saved her life, she nearly drowned - he showed off, splashing around
Summer sun, something's begun, but uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me
more, was it love at first sight?
Tell me more, tell me more, did she put up a fight?
Took her bowlin' in the
Arcade - we went strollin', drank lemonade
We made out under the dock - we stayed out until ten o'clock
Summer fling don't mean a thing, but uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me
more, that you don't got her preg
Tell me more, tell me more, cause he sounds like a drag
He got friendly, holdin'
my hand - well she got friendly, down in the
sand
He was sweet, just turned eighteen - well she was good, you know what I
mean
Summer heat, boy and girl meet, but uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me
more, how much dough did he spend?
Tell me more, tell me more, could she get me a friend?
It turned colder, that's
where it ends - so I told her we'd still be
friends
Then we made our true love vow - wonder what she's doin' now
Summer dreams ripped at the seams, but oh, those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me
more.
So pity to hear that Ashford
died of cancer. From 1985 I let the
Song Solid from Ashford and
Simpson play once more:
Solid
And for love's sake
each mistake you forgave.
And soon both of us learn to trust.
Not run away
it was no time to play
We build it up and build it up and build it up.
And now it's solid
solid as a rock.
That's what this love is
that's what we've got.
Solid
solid as a rock
and nothing changed it
You didn't turn away when the sky went gray.
Somehow we managed
we had to stay together.
you didn't bat an eye when I made you cry
We knew down the line
we would make it better.
And for love's sake
each mistake you forgave. . . .
And now it's solid
solid as a rock. . . .
Gone with the wind
Another friend got in between and tried to seperate us.
Knock knock on wood
you understood
Love was so new
we did what we had to.
And with that feeling we were willing to take a chance.
So against all odds we made a start.
We got serious
this wouldn't turn to dust
We build it up and build it up and build it up.
And now it's solid
solid as a rock. . . .
From the album Broken Heart
1978
Ive got no money
Could you spare a dime
I got the plan
If you got the time
If you take me there
You can claim your share
Of the action
Been on the road
For a long time now
Paid all my dues
Oh Im ready now
If you take me there
You can claim your share
Of the action
Ooh for a piece of the action
Ooh for a slice of the cake
Ooh for a piece of the action
Ooh for a slice of the cake
Sometimes I feel
As Im going down
That nothing can stop me
From losing ground
If you take me there
You can claim your share
Of the action
Ooh for a piece of the action
Ooh for a slice of the cake
Ooh for a piece of the action
Ooh for a slice of the cake
For a slice of the cake
O-o-oh
Great music and the text made this a
roadsong I so like!
Beautiful Child
Beautiful Child
You are a beautiful child
And I am a fool once more
You fell in love when
I was only ten
The years disappeared
Much has gone by since then
I bite my lip, can
you send me away
You touch
I have no choice
I have to stay
I had to stay
Sleepless child
There is so little time
Your eyes say yes
But you don't say yes
I wish that you were mine
You say it will be harder in the
morning
I wait for you to say, just go
Your hands, held
mine so few hours
And I'm not a child anymore
I'm not a child anymore
I'm tall enough
To reach the stars
I'm old enough
To love you from afar
Too trusting. . .yes?
But then women usually are
I'm not a child anymore
No, I'm not a child, oh no
Tall enough to reach
for the stars
I will do
As I'm told
Even if I never hold you again
I never hold you again

LYRICS USED IN THE FILM:
(by John Ford, Charles
Fitzsimons and Maureen O'Hara)
Oh, Inisfree, my island, I'm returning
From wasted years across the wintry sea.
And when I come back to my own dear Ireland,
I'll rest a while beside you, gradh mochroidhe.*
ORIGINAL LYRICS TO THE SONG:
(by Dick Farrelly)
I've met some folks who say that
I'm a dreamer,
And I've no doubt there's truth in what they say,
But sure a body's bound to be a dreamer
When all the things he loves are far away.
And precious things are dreams unto an exile.
They take him o'er the land across the sea --
Especially when it happens he's an exile
From that dear lovely Isle of Inisfree.
And when the moonlight peeps
across the rooftops
Of this great city, wondrous though it be,
I scarcely feel its wonder or its laughter.
I'm once again back home in Inisfree.
I wander o'er green hills through
dreamy valleys
And find a peace no other land could know.
I hear the birds make music fit for angels
And watch the rivers laughing as they flow.
And then into a humble shack I wander --
My dear old home -- and tenderly behold
The folks I love around the turf fire gathered.
On bended knees ,their rosary is told.
But dreams don't last --
Though dreams are not forgotten --
And soon I'm back to stern reality.
But though they pave the footways here with gold dust,
I still would choose the Isle of Inisfree.
* Gaelic words meaning "love
of my heart"
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
BUFFY
I touch the fire and it freezes me
I look into it and it's black
Why can't I feel?
My skin should crack and peel
I want the fire back
Now, through the smoke she calls to me
To make my way across the flame
To save the day or maybe melt away
I guess it's all the same
So, I will walk through the fire
Cause where else can I turn?
I will walk through the fire
And let it - -
SPIKE
The torch I bear is scorching me
And Buffy's laughing I've no doubt
I hope she fries
I'm free if that bitch dies!
I better help her out...
LOTD
Cause she is drawn to the fire
LOTD: Some people never learn / SPIKE: She will never learn
SPIKE AND LOTD
And she will walk through the fire
And let it - -
GILES
Will this do a thing to change her?
Am I leaving Dawn in danger?
Is my slayer too far gone to care?
XANDER
What if Buffy can't defeat it?
ANYA
Beady Eyes is right
We're needed!
...Or we could just sit around and glare
ANYA, GILES, TARA, WILLOW, AND XANDER
We'll see it through
It's what we're always here to do
So, we will walk through the fire...
(Buffy and Tara's following verses overlap.)
BUFFY
So one by one, they turn from me
I guess my friends can't face the cold
But why I froze, not one among them knows
And never can be told
TARA
What can't we face
If we're together?
(These three parts are sung mostly in unison.)
PART I
ANYA
She came from the grave much graver
SPIKE
First, he'll kill her, then I'll save her
TARA
Everything is turning out so dark
SPIKE
No, I'll save her, then I'll kill her
WILLOW
I think this line is mostly filler
GILES
What's it going to take to strike a spark?
BUFFY
Going through the motions
Walking through the part
These endless days are finally ending in a blaze
LOTD
So one by one, they come to me
The distant redness as their guide
That single flame
Ain't what they had in mind
It's what they have inside She will come to me
BUFFY, ANYA, GILES, SPIKE, TARA, WILLOW, AND XANDER
And we are caught in the fire
At the point of no return
So we will walk through the fire
And let it
Burn
Let it burn
Let it burn
Let it burn!
LOTD (spoken)
Showtime...
Willow: Giles, is there

about?
Giles: Synchronised
swimming. It remains a mystery to me.
My child arrived
just the other day
Came to the world in the usual way
But there were planes to catch and bills to pay
He learned to walk while I was away
He was talkin' 'fore I knew it
And as he grew he said,
I'm gonna be like you, dad,
You know I'm gonna be like you.
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
when you comin' home?
son, I don't know when. we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then.
Well, my son turned ten just the other day.
He said, 'thanks for the ball, dad. come on, let's play.
Could you teach me to throw?
I said, not today. I got a lot to do.
He said, that's okay. and he walked away and he smiled and he
said ya know, I'm gonna be like him, yeah.
You know I'm gonna be like him.
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
when you comin' home?
son, I don't know when. we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then.
Well, he came from college just the other day,
So much like a man I just had to say,
son I'm proud of you. could you sit for a while?
He shook his head and he said with a smile,
what I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys.
See you later. can I have them please?
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
when you comin' home?
son, I don't know when. we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then.
I've long since retired, my son's moved away.
I called him up just the other day.
I'd like to see you, if you don't mind.
He said, I'd love to, dad, if I could find the time.
You see my new job's a hassle and the kids have the flu,
But it's sure nice talkin' to you, dad.
It's been sure nice talkin' to you.
And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me,
He'd grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
when you comin' home?
son, I don't know when. we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then.
This has got to be the
saddest day of my life
I called you here today for a bit of bad news
I won't be able to see you anymore
Because of my obligations, and the ties that you have
We've been meeting here everyday
And since this is our last day together
I wanna hold you just one more time
When you turn and walk away, don't look back
I wanna remember you just like this
Let's just kiss and say goodbye
I had to meet you here today
There's just so many things to say
Please don't stop me 'til I'm through
This is something I hate to do
We've been meeting here so long
I guess what we've done, oh was wrong
Please darlin', don't you cry
Let's just kiss and say goodbye (Goodbye!)
Many months have passed us by
(I'm gonna miss you)
I'm gonna miss you, I can't lie
(I'm gonna miss you)
I've got ties, and so do you
I just think this is the thing to do
It's gonna hurt me, I can't lie
Maybe you'll meet, you'll meet another guy
Understand me, won't you try, try, try, try, try, try, try
Let's just kiss and say goodbye (Goodbye!)
Well, back in the past when I
was treated so coldly,
My love life was a darn disgrace.
Needed someone to love and hold me.
That's one of the reasons that i was out of place.
So this is love! well, she finally kissed me.
Had me all worked up inside.
I was in love, but cupid missed me.
She up and left, and i almost died.
But i was young and i was far from lonely.
I been that way for a long, long year.
Needed a girl to call my one and only.
Is that you?
You think you got the int'rest.
C'mon and take the time.
'cause you know i wanna be
Yours in a simple rhyme.
Well, ain't life grand when you finally hit it?
I'm always a sucker for a real good time.
Woke up in life to find i almost missed it.
Ain't i glad that love is blind?
But i was young and i was far too crazy.
Been that way for a long, long time.
Needed a girl, but i was just too lazy.
Now that i've found you:
You think you got the int'rest.
C'mon and take the time.
I'm gonna be
Yours in a simple
Rhyme,
Rhyme.
She made her mountains sing.
Birds against an icy sky.
And i heard bells ringin'
I think i heard an angel sigh. and she said:
There'll be times,
There will be times
You're gonna hear the angels singin'
"ah.
Ah.
Ah."
You think you got the int'rest.
C'mon and take the time.
I'm gonna be

Hot summer streets
And the pavements are burning I sit around
Too hot to handle, baby Trying to smile
But the air is so heavy and dry
Strange voices are saying
What did they say
Things I can't understand
It's too close for comfort
This heat has got right out of hand
It's a cruel, cruel summer Leaving me here on my own
It's a cruel, cruel summer Now you're gone
The city is crowded
My friends are away
And I'm on my own
It's too hot to handle So I got to get up and go
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Leaving me here on my own
It's a cruel,
It's a cruel cruel summer
Now you're gone
You're not the only one

Pockets of hate, rockets of love
It's never too late, the change in the color of
The color of her, the color of him
It really doesn't matter what skin you're in

Stopped on the next corner to pick up a white guy
The color of you, the color of me
You can't judge a man by looking at the marque
Chorus:
Hail hail rock 'n' roll, comes from r 'n' b and soul
Don't leave me standing in the cold
I used to fake 'i never grow old'
Hail hail rock 'n' roll, don't leave me standing on the bleak
Don't leave me stranded on the street
I see the light, i feel the heat
Blame it on you, blame it on me
Now let's the race that won't let's get on history
Pain in my heart won't let me be
Take it from me but don't you take away my liberty

Never too black to blush to pick up a white girl

Bruce Springsteen - streets
of Philadelphia
I was bruised and battered
and I couldn't tell
What I felt
I was unrecognizable to myself
Saw my reflection in a window
I didn't know my own face
Oh brother, are you gonna leave me
Wasting away
On the streets of Philadelphia?
I walked the avenue till my legs felt like stone
I heard the voices of friends vanished and gone
At night I could hear the blood in my veins
Just as black and whispering as the rain
On the streets of Philadelphia
Ain't no angel gonna greet me
It's just you and I, my friend
And my clothes don't fit me no more
I walked a thousand miles
Just to slip this skin
The night has fallen, I'm lyin' awake
I can feel myself fading away
So receive me, brother, with your faithless kiss
Or will we leave each other alone like this
On the streets of Philadelphia?
1993
From the movie Philadelphia
about living with aids. With Tom Hanks
Came in from a rainy Thursday
on the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly.
I turned on the lights, the TV and the radio
Still I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say,
Where is the life that I recognize?
Gone away...
Chorus:
But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world,
Somehow I have to find.
And as I try to make my way, to the ordinary world...
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence once prompted you to say
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Well now pride's gone out the window cross the rooftops, run away,
Left me in the vacuum of my heart.
What is happening to me?
Crazy, some'd say,
Where is my friend when I need you most?
Gone away...
Chorus:
But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world,
Somehow I have to find.
And as I try to make my way, to the ordinary world...
I will learn to survive
Papers in the roadside tell of suffering and greed
Here today, forgot tomorrow
Ooh, here besides the news of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrowed talk
(Just blown away...)
Every world, is my world... (I will learn to survive)
Any world, is my world ... (I will learn to survive)
Any world, is my world...
Every world is my world...
From 1993
I like the music. And the
text is so good! Today I listen to this one
We are young, heartache to
heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love Is A Battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us we're wrong
Searchin' our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love Is A Battlefield
You're beggin' me to go, you're makin' me stay
Why do you hurt me so bad?
It would help me to know
Do I stand in your way, or am I the best thing you've had?
Believe me, believe me, I can't tell you why
But I'm trapped by your love, and I'm chained to your side
We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love Is A Battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us we're wrong
Searchin' our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love Is A Battlefield
We're losing control
Will you turn me away or touch me deep inside?
And before this gets old, will it still feel the same?
There's no way this will die
But if we get much closer, I could lose control
And if your heart surrenders, you'll need me to hold
We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love Is A Battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us we're wrong
Searchin' our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love Is A Battlefield
We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love Is A Battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us we're wrong
Searchin' our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love Is A Battlefield
A Creative Special Video this
time. This time I set the video in the spotlight
From 2010

A great band and this is one
of their great songs. Where the streets have no name!
U2 is a band who try to do
some good in the world. They are still together from 1976 and they are
touring and making refreshing music !
A video on a Liquor Store
Roodtop in Los Angeles. in 1987 27th March. When the video shoot is
publicised on radio, large crowds gather on surrounding streets and
block traffic. The band first perform Where The Streets Have No Name
with backing tapes, but its subsequent three performances as well as
the other songs are fully live. Eventually, the local police shut down
the video shoot but more than enough footage is captured for the music
video.
I want to run
I want to hide
I want to tear down the walls
That hold me inside
I want to reach out
And touch the flame
Where the streets have no name
I want to feel sunlight on my face
I see the dust cloud disappear
Without a trace
I want to take shelter from the poison rain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
We're still building
Then burning down love
Burning down love
And when I go there
I go there with you
It's all I can do
The city's aflood
And our love turns to rust
We're beaten and blown by the wind
Trampled in dust
I'll show you a place
High on a desert plain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
We're still building
Then burning down love
Burning down love
And when I go there
I go there with you
It's all I can do
Our love turns to rust
We're beaten and blown by the wind
Blown by the wind
Oh, and I see love
See our love turn to rust
We're beaten and blown by the wind
Blown by the wind
Oh, when I go there
I go there with you
It's all I can do
A song from 1974 with some
dutch artist like Patricia Paay.
Under the name US they sing
this song. I like it.
Music in the air (Hey!)
It's no use being sad, my dear
There's no need to be down
Your hapiness is always near
You got to look around
And when the sky is overcast
Just realize that it won't last
There's music in the air
Just try to listen, open your ears
You will hear it everywhere
Music in the air
The birds are singing in the
sky
You feel a tender breeze
It's such a foolish thing to cry
Today there's only peace
Why don't you smile
Your tears are gone
Feel free a while and there's a star
There's music in the air
Just try to listen, open your ears
You will hear it everywhere
So concentrate upon the sun
It's like the less of day
Just feel the warmth, why should you lie
Why should you go away?
Now stay with us and use your eyes
We're all together in paradise
There's music in the air
Just try to listen, open your
ears
You will hear it everywhere
Music in the air
There's music in the air
Just try to listen, open your ears
You will hear it everywhere
Music in the air (Hey!)
The Shangri-Las were an
American pop girl group of the 1960s. Between 1964 and 1966 they
charted with often heartbreaking teen melodramas. I love many of their
songs and they have special voices too. One of the oldest songs I
placed here!
Time can never mend the
careless whispers of a good friend
To the heart and mind, ignorance is kind
there's no comfort in the truth
pain is all you'll find
Should've known better
I feel so unsure
as I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
as the music dies, something in your eyes
calls to mind the silver screen
and all its sad good-byes
I'm never gonna dance again
guilty feet have got no rhythm
though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
Should've known better than to cheat a friend
and waste the chance that I've been given
so I'm never gonna dance again
the way I danced with you
Time can never mend
the careless whispers of a good friend
to the heart and mind
ignorance is kind
there's no comfort in the truth
pain is all you'll find
Never without your love
It was a song from Wham where
George Micheal was a part of it but this version let you here the great
voice he has.
Blue Angel was
a band that featured Cyndi Lauper before her rise to fame as a
solo singer. The lineup also included John Turi on keyboard instrument
and saxophone, Arthur "Rockin' A" Neilson (guitar), Lee Brovitz (bass
guitar) and Johnny Morelli (drums). Lauper and Turi wrote the bulk of
their material, and the group also covered pop standards, such as
Mann/Weil's "I'm Gonna Be Strong" (which Lauper covered again in a 1994
album). Blue Angel was briefly popular on the New York club scene.
What a great song. If you
play it loud you feel the power grow in your heart! Expectially at the
end!
Words and Music by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil I can see you're slipping away from me And you're so afraid I'll plead with you to stay But I'm gonna be strong and let you go your way Our love is gone, there's no sense in holding on 'cause your pity now would be too much to bear So I'm gonna be strong and pretend I don't care
I'm gonna be strong and stand as tall as I can Yes, I'm gonna be strong and let you run along and take it like a man When you say it's the end I'll just hand you a line I'll smile and say Don't you worry, I'm fine And you'll never know, darling, after you kiss me goodbye How I'll break down and cry eye-eye-eye.
You found me
Singing songs about the rain
I found you; I couldn't find words to explain
How you were the day I was the dark of night
How the world spun around us like a satellite
How you met me in the middle and I held on tight
Refrein:
You will always be my beautiful distraction
One part sweetness two parts passion
Everyday you make me feel brand new
You asked for my heart not perfection
The first one to lead me in the right direction
This crazy world won’t change the same old me
Who loves the same old you
You brought me back when I’d forgotten how to fall
To fall in love
Showed me I could have it all
And not give up a single thing I am
When I said I couldn’t you said
Yes we can
It took me all this time now I understand, I do
You will always be my beautiful distraction
One part sweetness two parts passion
Everyday you make me feel brand new
You asked for my heart not perfection
The first one to lead me in the right direction
This crazy world won’t change the same old me
Who loves the same old you
Here I am talking about forever
Never thought I’d say it, never ever
Hold me once, hold me twice, hold me for the rest of my life
Hot sun beating down
burning my feet just walking around.
Hot sun making me sweat
'Gators getting close, hasn't got me yet
I can't dance, I can't talk.
Only thing about me is the way I walk.
I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling everything.
Blue Jean's sitting on the beach,
her dog's talking to me, but she's out of reach.
She's got a body under that shirt,
but all she wants to do is rub my face in the dirt.
Cause, I can't dance, I can't talk.
Only thing about me is the way I walk.
I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling.
Oh and checking everything is in place,
you never know who's looking on.
Young punk spilling beer on my shoes,
fat guy's talking to me trying to steal my blues.
Thick smoke, see her smiling through.
I never thought so much could happen just shooting pool.
But I can't dance, I can't talk.
The only thing about me is the way that I walk.
I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling...
Oh and checking everything is in place
You never know who's looking on
A perfect body
with a perfect face - uh-huh.
No, I can't dance, I can't talk.
The only thing about me is the way I walk.
No, I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling everything.
But I can walk.
No I can't dance.
Ive seen you twice, in a
short time
Only a week since we started
It seems to me, for every time
I’m getting more open-hearted
I was an impossible case
No-one ever could reach me
But I think I can see in your face
There’s a lot you can teach me
So I wanna know......
What’s the name of the game?
Does it mean anything to you?
What’s the name of the game?
Can you feel it the way I do?
Tell me please, ’cause I have to know
I’m a bashful child, beginning to grow
And you make me talk
And you make me feel
And you make me show
What I’m trying to conceal
If I trust in you, would you let me down?
Would you laugh at me, if I said I care for you?
Could you feel the same way too?
I wanna know......
The name of the game
I have no friends, no-one to see
And I am never invited
Now I am here, talking to you
No wonder I get excited
Your smile, and the sound of your voice
And the way you see through me
Got a feeling, you give me no choice
But it means a lot to me
So I wanna know......
A great and wonderful song,
yet unusual and slow. I still remember I heard this song for the first
time. so strange. I really love it.
You all know how a big fan of
ABBA I am
Abba The name of the Game

Manfred Manns Earth Band
blinded by the light
Manfred Mann's Earth
Band is a British progressive rock group formed in 1971 by Manfred
Mann. "Blinded by the Light" is a song written and originally recorded
by Bruce Springsteen, although it is mostly known by its 1977 #1 hit
version recorded by Manfred Mann's Earth Band. I still can sing the
whole song. They are still active and performing. See more on:

Blinded by the light, revved
up like a deuce, another runner in the night
Madman drummers bummers, Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat
In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into his
hat
With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin' kinda older, I tripped the
merry-go-round
With this very unpleasin', sneezin' and wheezin, the calliope crashed
to the ground
The calliope crashed to the ground
But she was...
Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the
night
Some silicone sister with a
manager mister told me I go what it takes
She said "I'll turn you on sonny to something strong, play the song
with the funky break"
And go-cart Mozart was checkin' out the weather chart to see if it was
safe outside
And little Early-Pearly came by in his curly-wurly and asked me if I
needed a ride
Asked me if I needed a ride
But she was...
Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the
night
Blinded by the light
She got down but she never got tired
She's gonna make it through the night
But mama, that's where the fun is
Mama always told me not to look into the eye's of the sun
But mama, that's where the fun is
Some brimstone baritone anticyclone rolling stone preacher from the
east
Says, "Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in it's funny bone, that's where
they expect it least"
And some new-mown chaperone was standin' in the corner, watching the
young girls dance
And some fresh-sown moonstone was messin' with his frozen zone,
reminding him of romance
The calliope crashed to the ground
But she was...
Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the
night
Almost heaven, west virginia
Blue ridge mountains, shenandoah river
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
All my mem’ries, gather ’round her
Miner’s lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice, in the mornin’ hours she calls to me
The radio reminds me of my home far a-way
And drivin’ down the road I get a feeling’
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
He made wonderful music and I
am proud to have his album (yeah on vinyl) with the best of the best of
his songs.
First I had the idea that
Mary Poppins was boring but it isnt! I have it now on dvd. Right now I
watch the sound of the music and I like it so much.
So regretfull her singing
voice will be silent after a failure surgery... I become a big fan of
her!
I'm hearing images, I'm seeing
songs
No poet has ever painted
Voices call out to me, straight to my heart
So strange yet we're so well acquainted
I let the music speak, with no restraints
I let my feelings take over
Carry my soul away into the world
Where beauty meets the darkness of the day
Where my mind is like an open window
Where the high and healing winds blow
From my shallow sleep the sounds awake me
I let them take me
(Let them wake me, let them now, let them take me)
Let it be a joke
Let it be a smile
Let it be a farce if it makes me laugh for a little while
Let it be a tear
Let it be a sigh
Coming from a heart, speaking to a heart, let it be a cry
Some streets are emptiness, dry leaves of autumn
Rustling down an old alley
And in the dead of night I find myself
A blind man in some ancient valley
I let the music speak, leading me gently
Urging me like a lover
Leading me all the way
Into a place
Where beauty will defeat the darkest day
Where I'm one with every grand illusion
No disturbance, no intrusion
Where I let the wistful sounds seduce me
I let them use me
(All illusion, no disturbance, no intrusion)
Let it be a joke
Let it be a smile
Let it be a farce if it makes me laugh for a little while
Let it be a tear
Let it be a sigh
Coming from a heart, speaking to a heart, let it be a cry
Let it be the joy of each new sunrise
Or the moment when a day dies
I surrender without reservation
No explanations
No questions why
I take it to me and let it flow through me
Yes, I let the music speak
I let the music speak
Never a top40song and one of
the great! songs on the Visitors album. On this song I made the title
of this homepage (I let the words speak) and I like the text very much.
Also the song and the ABBA on it.
Frida sings it with
compassion and Bjorn made a great lyric. You hear the direction Bjorn
and Benny went after Abba.
In a great way the put the
music together. And ofcourse in these clip you see a glimpse of
England. They still perform. This song from 1982 was one of their
biggest hits.
Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sister's sighing in her sleep
Brother's got a date to keep
He can't hang around
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our
Our house it has a crowd
There's always something happening
And it's usually quite loud
Our mum she's so house-proud
Nothing ever slows her down
And a mess is not allowed
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our
Our house, in the middle of our street
(Something tells you)
(That you've got to get away from it)
Our house, in the middle of our
Father gets up late for work
Mother has to iron his shirt
Then she sends the kids to school
Sees them off with a small kiss
She's the one they're going to miss
In lots of ways
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our
I remember way back then when
Everything was true and when
We would have such a very good time
Such a fine time
Such a happy time
And I remember how we'd play
Simply waste the day away
Then we'd say
Nothing would come between us
Two dreamers
Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sister's sighing in her sleep
Brother's got a date to keep
He can't hang around
Wonderful sightseeing and a
nice song. I like the road music!
So these are the figurines
Acting out all the scenes before my eyes
I thought I knew them all by name
But they started looking much the same
And it’s no surprise
But I don’t wanna listen
Too much
How can I give up on all the days I know I’ve won
There’s nothing but rainbows
I believe in the shadows
Now honey
Thought I might Be dropping out
But now I am gonna work it out
I am gonna work with me
I am Runnin’ like it …looser
Then I’m Rolling Like sea Rusty Ship On A Stormy Sea
You know that people are saying
Strange things
Talk to the hand ’cause I know you think the face is gone
I don’t wanna listen
Too much
I’m not gonna give up on all the days I know I’ve won
There’s nothing but blue sky
There’s nothing but blue sky
Nothings gonna stop me now
I am skimming like a skipping stone on a silver lake
I take it when the chips are down
But to play the perfect happy clown
You gotta make a mistake (gotta make mistakes)
People are saying
Strange things
And I don’t wanna listen (I don’t wanna listen)
Too much yeah
Nothing but blue sky
Blue Sky
How can I tell you I Know this wont Be the last Song
I don’t wanna listen (I don’t wanna listen)
Too much
Not gonna give up on the days I know I’ve won
That’s where I am going
’cause there is nothing nothing but blue sky
That’s where I am going
Nothing but
Rainbows falling down on me …uh yeah hey
Nothing but blue sky
Can’t you see That’s where I am going
Got to believe me That’s where I am going

Anything for you
Though you're not here
Since you said we're through
It seems like years
Time keeps draggin' on and on
And forever's been and gone
Still I can't figure out what went wrong
I'd still do anything for you
I'll play your game
You hurt me through and through
But you can have your way
I can pretend each time I see you
That I don't care and I don't need you
And though you'll never see me cryin'
You know inside I feel like dying
And I'd do anything for you
In spite of it all
I've learned so much from you
You made me strong
But don't you ever think that I don't love you
That for one minute I forgot you
But sometimes things don't work out right
And you just have to say goodbye
I hope you find someone to please you
Someone who'll care and never leave you
But if that someone ever hurts you
You just might need a friend to turn to
And I'd do anything for you
I'll give you up
If that's what I should do
To make you happy
I can pretend each time I see you
That I don't care and I don't need you
And though inside I feel like dying
You know you'll never see me crying
Don't you ever think that I don't love you
That for one minute I forgot you
But sometimes things don't work out right

Heard it today and I like it

It was covered by Melissa

album.
Song is from 1980
We got somethin' we both know
it
We don't talk too much about it
Yeah it ain't no real big secret all the same
Somehow we get around it
Listen it don't really matter to me baby
You believe what you want to believe
You see you don't have to live like a refugee
Somewhere, somehow somebody
Must have kicked you around some
Tell me why you wanna lay there
And revel in your abandon
Listen it don't make no difference to me baby
Everybody's had to fight to be free
You see you don't have to live like a refugee
Now baby you don't have to live like a refugee
Baby we ain't the first
I'm sure a lot of other lover's been burned
Right now this seems real to you
But it's one of those things
You gotta feel to be true
Somewhere, somehow somebody
Must have kicked you around some
Who knows, maybe you were kidnapped
Tied up, taken away and held for ransom
It don't really matter to me
Everybody's had to fight to be free
You see you don't have to live like a refugee
I said you don't have to live like a refugee
Heard it today and I like it
so much so this is the song I listen to now.

He's a spacer, a star chaser
A spacer
He's a ladies man
Always greets with a kiss on the hand
He protects us all
At the ready to answer a call
In his own special way he is gentle and kind
Oppression he hates
Love in his eyes
My heart skips a beat when I'm by his side
He's a spacer, a star chaser
A spacer
He's a spacer, a star chaser
A spacer
In our galaxy
You can't trust ev'ryone that you meet
I'm so lucky
He's the only one I'll ever need
He will blast off tonight
He puts his life on the line ev'rytime he's in flight
A man you can't trace
But our love will last beyond time and space

The rose
Some say love, it is a river, that drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor, that leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower, and you, it’s only seed
Its the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance
Its the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance
Its the one who won’t be taken, the one who can’t seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong
Just remember that in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed, that with the sun’s love in the spring becomes the rose.
A Really Touchy Song I like
and want to start 2011 with this song!
