We
are in our Autumn Season now, and the temperatures are more
comfortable.
The
best part of the day is early - around
sun-rise which I can enjoy from the back verandah of my home on our

Your GOF
Special Friend
is calling in again *s*.
Attached is a
photo of a
small dam we have on a spring fed creek on our farm. Very

and
looks lovely when not

older daughter took
the photo over 2 years ago and won a 1st prize at our local show with

This
Special Friend visit contains a lovely little poem I found
Enjoy
your week.
Margaret C
A friend is like a
forest,
Or a lovely, calm blue sea,
A refuge from life’s problems,
As only a friend can be.
A
friend is like a
song,
Soothing to the brain,
Distracting us from trouble,
Neutralizing pain.
A
friend is like
some ice cream
On a sweltering summer day,
Making life delicious,
In a friend’s own special way.
A
friend is like a
blanket,
Bringing peace and rest,
A cocoon of warmth and pleasure;
When we are tired or stressed.
A
friend is a bit
of everything
That makes life good and sweet,
And you, my friend, are all that;
You make my life complete!

Dear Special Friend
I
was very pleasantly surprised this morning
to
look out my window and see several Gulf
Fritillary
butterflies fluttering around my
zinnias
along the fence.
Now these butterflies aren't unknown in
this area, but most of the
butterflies we see here in town are the usual black and yellow
swallowtails....so I grabbed my little camera and headed out the back
door.
Dear
Special Friend,
I
had a rare treat this weekend. A few days ago the phone rang and a
little voice said "I miss you, Grandma Lyn, when can I come see you?"
It was my son's youngest, Molly, age 8. So of course Molly was invited
for a sleepover!
Her
dad made the long drive over to bring her, and when she arrived, we had
so much fun!
We
fed and played with the bunnies, made supper together, walked around
the lake, fed the ducks, made several trips out to the back yard with a
flashlight searching for fairies
among
the flowers, played several games, and snacked on chocolate ice cream
mixed with Reese's peanut butter cups before falling into bed to read
several storybooks. Molly
said
it was her best day ever, and we promised each other we would do it
again soon.
I
do hope you have a happy week filled with lots
of
fun and love, maybe a little ice cream, and
perhaps
even sprinkled with fairy dust!
Love
and Hugs,
Grandma
Lyn
Hi
Regina
:)
My name is Frilly Lily
and I am
one of the Garden of Friendship Blossoms
coming to blossom you with my precious petals this week.
It
is such a lovely time of year for spreading joy and friendship and it’s
also just great to be able to pop in to see you several times this week
when you least expect it.
Here
is a
bit of news about
Marigolds you might find interesting.
Marigolds
are often
associated with the month of October and did you know that in India
the marigold is the birth flower for October? Considered to be the
holiest among flowers, Marigolds are often strung together into
necklaces and placed around the necks of religious statues as an
offering.
Marigolds,
native to
the New World and sacred flowers of the Aztecs, journeyed across the Atlantic Ocean
twice to travel 3,000 miles north of their center of origin. The
lengthy journey is a testimony to the rugged durability of marigolds.
Today the marigold is one of the most popular annuals grown in North
American gardens.
Until
next time,
Frilly Lilly
Dear
Special Friend,
On Saturday I
celebrated birthday number 68. Now
this number looks pretty big to
me, and although
my mirror and my aching knees tell
me it must be
correct, my brain tells me I'm at
least 30 years
younger, because I just can't be
that old yet, can I?!!
How the time does fly!!
My friend, I wish you lots of
special moments with
those you love in the coming weeks
and months....
Love and
Hugs,
Grandma Lyn
Hello
Regina :)
I am back for
another visit
and to share this wonderful poem I found about the season of fall along
with a little attached gift.
Fall
Ballet
In
fall the leaves are dancing
In
the newly cool, crisp
breeze,
Tumbling,
skipping, flipping,
As
they throw themselves from
trees.
Twirling,
whirling dancers,
Give
performances each day,
Floating
gracefully to earth,
In
a circular ballet.
And
as they land together,
Making
not a sound,
They
form a comfy quilt,
For
the hardening winter
ground.

Garden of Friendship
When I have no one to
turn to
And I am feeling kind of low,
When there is no one to talk to
And nowhere I want to go,
I search deep within myself
It is the love inside my heart
That lets me know my Angels are there
Even though we are miles apart.
A smile then appears
upon my face
And the sun begins to shine.
I hear a voice, so soft and sweet
Saying, 'Everything will be just fine'
It may seem that I am alone
But I am never by myself at all.
Whenever I need my Angels near
All I have to do is call.
An Angel's love is
always true
On that you can depend.
They will always stand behind you
And will always be your friend.
Through darkest hours and brightest days
Our Angels see us through.
You are one of my Angels.
Perhaps I am one for you.

Hi

When
Angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings,
nor
feel the feathery touch of the breast of a dove;
but we
know their presence by the love they create in our hearts.

A friend of mine dropped by,
dear God,
for just a friendly chat...
We sipped a cup of coffee and
we talked of this and that...
Our visit was not planned at all,
but as she passed my way...
My friend just stopped to say "hello"
and pass the time of day.
You know how much I"m grateful, God,
for kind and thoughtful friends...
It's folks like these that bring my life
its richest dividends...
Because they bring a friendly word,
they share a smile or two...
And skies that had a tinge of gray

Dear Special
Friend,
This has been a
fun weekend. My son's daughter
and
my daughter's daughter Kennedy, both age 8, have been here for a joint
sleepover....first time we have done this with these two girls, who
don't get to see each other very often.
We
played dress-up and had a fashion show, played Barbies, ate a supper of
cheese-topped baked pasta, played hamster Halloween mazes on the
computer, and then I threw a quilt over the card table to make a
"house" for the girls, who came up with several imaginative games for
it. There
was also lots and lots of giggling,
which continued long after they went to bed....
:-)
Wishing you a
wonderful week ahead, filled
with lots of joy
and maybe some giggles as well!

Dear

This
will be my last regular special friend visit

January.
If at that time you do not hear from

Never undervalue anyone
Keep each friend safe in your heart.

Best friends are like family.
There
comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won't anymore...
And who always will.
So, don't worry about people from your past,
There's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Makes me wonder how your creation of green came to life....
A ride on a helicopter over the huge Rain Forest and see nothing, but
acres & acres of simply gorgeous green!
Green, Green, you are so glorious green...
An abundance of beautiful green, not coloured, but just natural and
kind.
Makes me wonder how your creation of green came to life...
GREEN, I admire and respect the vitality you bring in the air that I
breathe...

I
love these oh so very much the first one brings back memories to me as
a child growing up in the summer
we would go out East to
New Jersey when I was small my Dad would go to a Union
Meetings
back then and he would take the family so we played in the
Atlantic Ocean,
then one day I moved out East to Pennsylvania and on
weekends would go to Wildwood, New Jersey then I came back
home to
Chicago I sure miss the East Coast I loved it out there.
The
second one we have a waterfall not far from where I live in Lemont,
Illinois it is at Argonne,Illinois which you can walk or ride your bike
in winter to go cross country skiing
which I do not do but I use to
take my children there and we would walk and come back by the waterfall
so nice, Thanks so very much.

Hi
Regina:
Well....my
name is Sunflower Girl and I'm here to brighten your
week.
Today is only day one of the warm wishes I'm sending your way.
GARDEN
OF SUNFLOWERS
A garden of Sunflower beckoned to me -
Come join us, my lady, and joyous you'll be!
We're large ones and small ones, some dainty and fair,
And even some delicate to wear in your hair.
We follow the sun, swaying slowly without a care,
We have a new dance that with you we will share.
Gently hold onto our leaves, allow us to lead the way,
To our Sunflower two-step, dancing throughout the day.
I couldn't resist them, so dandy a sight!
So off I did go in my Sunflower flight.
What a glorious time, right up til twilight,
And then I had to bid my Sunflowers good-night.
So happy were we, a long day filled with fun,
Upon leaving I kissed them, each and every one.
So tender the moment, as I turned to leave.
With eyes brimmed with tears, could I truly believe?
OH! It was so true!! I then knew it to be!!!
I had to smile, 'cause they were all winking at me!!!!

Wow! hard puzzle. Once I did a puzzle for a friends business called Tiger Trax. The puzzle was a pic.of a huge tiger face. I was going to do the puzzle and then have it all glued together and framed and give it as a grand opening gift. My sister-in-law helped me do the puzzle. It took a long time for us to finish. When we got done we found it was missing a piece...right in the middle of the puzzle and it was very obvious. We searched everywhere for the missing piece thinking it fell on the floor or something. We never found it. So I never gave it as a gift and was very disappointed. I've never done one since. I can't do puzzles on msntv anyway. But thanks for sharing! Hugs!

Hi,
Regina,
Sorry
to be so late in responding to this....thank you so much for your
email, and I love the poem!
It’s been a busy weekend for me
as I
have turned in my ten-year-old van for a brand new one, which I am to
pick up later today.
It is a very basic van as I am not into
fancy cars, just want something to get me safely and reliably from one
place to another....and I was beginning
to feel a little insecure in
the old van as little noises here and there kept telling me it was time
to look for something newer, rather than face big repair bills
on the
old one. I have always bought used cars in the past, but the
price on this one was as low as the used ones I saw, so I thought why
not go for it.
I expect it will last me the rest of my life,
or
at least the rest of my driving life. :-)
I
do hope you are doing well and enjoying the GOF Birthday
Bash! I
so much enjoyed your article in the GOF newsletter this month, and am
looking forward to reading more about you and the Netherlands in future
months.
The
Netherlands is a small country. You can drive from east to west in less
than 2 hours with your car. From north to south it will take you 4
hours. It is so small you can't even see it on the world map. To get an
idea where the Netherlands is, find Great Britain and draw a line
across the North Sea and where you find land, there is the Netherlands.
On that little piece of land almost
17 million people live. I live in the east-middle of the Netherlands
close to the Germany border.
To the concepts of the Dutch people, we are not highly concentrated
with people. That is the big city places on the West (Amsterdam-
Rotterdam - the Hague). We have farmland, little villages with roads
and a bigger city here and there.
Many of you know the Netherlands as a water country. That is so true.
We learn to live with that.
My name is Regina Jansen (Jansen is such a common name) and I walk
almost 49 years in the Netherlands. I make my living as a cabdriver and
on the weekends I do the nightshifts. I am feeling too old for that and
every time I find out that there is an ugliness in people and the
nightlife, I am glad I return safely home.
I am living with a friend. We bought a home together. It is now for
sale because there are plans to go to the old house of my spouse, but
the house market is so bad now. We couldn't pick a worse time.
My boyfriend has two sons from a previous marriage. We see them really
often. Age 16 and age 18 and they are now larger than I am. I am the
little one!
From my part I brought animals here and we continue to live on.
I am on the computer too much. You can say I am an addict.
Besides the computer, I love to garden (the nice things) and enjoy the
animals I have. I love to visit trees but haven't done it
lately.
Of course the times with my best friend J. are the sparkles in my life.
I am learning the harp but often I don't
practice enough. I need someone who will pick me up by the ears and
place me behind the harp. It is so difficult because I must
learn
the music notes and my fingers dont find the magic on it. So, slowly I
am getting there and sometimes I feel the music magic and then I know I
am moving a small step forward.
I love to read and listen to music too. I am a child of the 70's and you can make me happy
with ABBA.
This has been my introduction story. I hope you like it and want to
read more in the next newsletter.
Regina….you
make my life fun…..and I’m so glad to know you. Saying to man
that he can’t do it can go either way. He might take up the
challenge and do it….or you set him up not to do it LOL!!!
Love and hugs

Hi,
Regina,
Sorry
to be so late in responding to this....thank you so much for your
email, and I love the poem! It’s been a busy weekend for me
as I
have turned in my ten-year-old van for a brand new one, which I am to
pick up later today. It is a very basic van as I am not into
fancy cars, just want something to get me safely and reliably from one
place to another....and I was beginning to feel a little insecure in
the old van as little noises here and there kept telling me it was time
to look for something newer, rather than face big repair bills on the
old one. I have always bought used cars in the past, but the
price on this one was as low as the used ones I saw, so I thought why
not go for it. I expect it will last me the rest of my life,
or
at least the rest of my driving life. :-)
I
do hope you are doing well and enjoying the GOF Birthday
Bash! I
so much enjoyed your article in the GOF newsletter this month, and am
looking forward to reading more about you and the Netherlands in future
months.
Love
and Hugs,

Hi
Regina,
Thank
you for taking the time to write. I’m looking forward to
getting
to know you better as my new Special Friend. Thanks so much
for
the beautiful gifts you have sent over the last week. Your
beautiful Jacquie Lawson card could not have arrived at a better
time. The news of Alita’s passing yesterday hit us all very
hard,
and your card lifted my spirits when I needed it most, so thank you so
much for that.
Just
to tell you a bit about me, I am the Founder of the Garden of
Friendship. I live in Nova Scotia, on the east coast of
Canada. I’m 45 years old and have three beautiful daughters,
Jenna (18), Amber (19) and Kayla (21). I work full time for
Staples and am a Senior Account Manager in business to business
sales.
I
look forward to getting to know you better as my new Special
Friend. Thanks again for the beautiful gifts and messages you
have sent over the last week or so.
Hope
you have a great day!

Okay...this
gives you and idea of some parts of my gardens.,
There
is a lot more to see tho..but we'll save that for another day.

The
lilies are exceptionally vigorous this year...WOW.
Maybe
you all can understand why I moan and groan when I can't get
out to garden.
It
takes a lot of upkeep but the results are worth it.
Now..housework..that's
a whole different kettle of fish.
If
I could hire a maid to keep the house tidy, my world would be ideal.
Ha...then I could spend all my time either fussin' in the kitchen or
outside digging in the dirt.
I
did manage to make 33 jars of jam today tho.
Black
and red raspberry and loganberry.
**You
asked what I do with the plants I separate..I either find another place
somewhere in the gardens or pass them on to friends and neighbors.
We
all do that among my friends who garden. That's how I got most of my
"stuff".
Thank
you for this beautiful Anniversary Page and all the wonderful gifts and
greetings! All are much appreciated.
My special Thank You to Regina,
which put together this outstanding page, I love it. And also my
special

Thank
You so very much for the beautiful card. I love it.
Vacation
In the months, July and August we have the summer months, vacation. In
the Netherlands the children are 6 weeks free and the adults often 2
weeks. A lot of them are taking their holidays. When the sun doesn't
come before we have our holiday, we take a last minute vacation to the
sun. So the airports are so busy with going to the sun. A lot of people
travel by car. They go through Germany or stay in France where they
stay or travel to Spain. Some people stay in the Netherlands. Often
(every year we have 3 black Saturdays where the traffic jams are high)
because the road where the Dutch people travel through the countries
face huge jams because there are so many cars on the road. And on every
black Saturday there are victims too of traffic accidents.
Often the people visits sea and sun or old places or going to the
discotheque. In 2005 I made time to visit Old and Special Trees in the
United Kingdom. I was visiting this wonderful country with
some
other Tree Lovers for only a few days, .but they were starting an
affair on that trip and that makes me very uncomfortable. After our
return I was one too many, so it stopped there.
But oh England was so great. Days went so fast and the people were so
friendly. After my return I searched online for houses where I could
live and not thinking about money or how I was going to make a living
there.
We went to Stonehenge where we circled the big stones with modern
translators to tell their story. We took lots of pictures and
it
was great but the stones were silent and deep unto themselves.
Driving on the left side of the road as they do in England was easier
than I thought. In the morning you must tell yourself "drive left" and
the first roundabout was strange. And of course we made mistakes but
the English people helped us when they could. Often it was searching
for an old Tree. When we asked directions it was, "Oh ride behind me in
that red car I will take you there".And the big trees (we don't have
them that big in the Netherlands) are just a forest in England. Here in
the Netherlands we place them behind cages. In England you see the cows
and sheep gather around the ancient trees. My first English ice-cream I
had in the new forest. Oh it was so delicious. I never forget those
special moments. In the new forest the horses and cows strolling around
freely. They are so used to traffic. On the middle of the road a cow
was feeding her young one and the cars waited patiently for her to
finish. I wish I could stay there for a while and let my creativity
bloom there and enjoy the English way of living.
I still remember the castles we visit with their great trees and the
wonderful way of living there. With the right company the trip was
super!
I am hoping I win the lottery so I can visit and travel again. You
never know. For me England was great. We had better weather than the
Netherlands had.
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you.
Hello!
These are beautiful, thank you!

glad to have you as my friend. Oh my gosh, and thank you so very much

A
special thanks go out to my good friend Regina, for making these

Garden. He says thank you also.
I’d
like to thank the quilters for their wonderful contribution to my
Anniversary celebration, but that will come when I find the
quilt.

I’m blind or it just wasn’t
linked. But no worries, when I do find it, I get to thank
everyone again.

As
you know I live in the Netherlands. I live in the east, close to the
German border. The name the Netherlands means low lands, so big parts
of our small country are
below the sea
level. We made dikes to protect us from the water. Perhaps you know
that we had a big storm with a flood in 1953 where many people died. It
effects also Belgium and England.
Big
and enormous doors of steel protect Sealand where so many people died
when a lot of land flooded
in 1953. In October 2012, I was there to pay a visit to
this wonderful park where I saw how they did it and discovered the wonderful life in sea and
water. I
learned a lot.
Here you see a
part of the 65 steel doors
that protect
the waterland Sealand (a part of the Netherlands). They are enormous
and very impressive.
One
big door. Once everyone
one to three years the doors will be closed when a big
storm is coming. Now it is open and
the water is so smooth.
It
is so funny to see the old movies they
made while it was being built
and the opening. The old fashioned clothes and the hairstyles. One of
the steel doors is open
for visiting and that is where I took
these photo's. It is hollow inside and all kinds of information is
there to read. You can read how they built
it.
"You
stand up for what you
believe in, even if it
gets in the
way
of what other people think. You are proud of yourself and your
accomplishments and you enjoy letting people know that."
Hmmm Not so sure I agree with all of it LOL
That was fun, Thanks
Jo
Hi Regina, May your toubles be less And your blessings be more And nothing but happiness comes through your door.

Dear

Just
to let you know you are being thought
of today.
On days when
you're tired
Not sure you can go on
- Your Angel Knows -
And will wrap you in an Angel hug
To let you rest till your weariness is gone.
On days when you're down
Just feeling so blue
- Your Angel Knows -
And will tenderly take you in her arms
To cherish and help cheer you.
On days when you're hurting
Really feeling that pain
- Your Angel Knows -
And will wrap you in a blanket of love
To give you courage and help keep you sane.
On those nights when you're lonely
And there's no one to be found
- Your Angel Knows -
She'll gently enfold you in her wings
To give comfort and let you know
she'll always be around.
And on the days when you're happy
Things are going just right
- Your Angel Knows -
She'll smile and say a prayer of thanks
And give you an Angel hug so tight.
Day and night no matter what
Your Angel is always close by
To help guard you and protect you
Till someday you have your own wings to fly.

An
Angel's Love
When
I have no one to turn to
And I am feeling kind of low,
When there is no one to talk to
And nowhere I want to go,
I search deep within myself
It is the love inside my heart
That lets me know my Angels are there
Even though we are miles apart.
A
smile then appears upon my face
And the sun begins to shine.
I hear a voice, so soft and sweet
Saying, 'Everything will be just fine'
It may seem that I am alone
But I am never by myself at all.
Whenever I need my Angels near
All I have to do is call.
An
Angel's love is always true
On that you can depend.
They will always stand behind you
And will always be your friend.
Through darkest hours and brightest days
Our Angels see us through.
You are one of my Angels.
Perhaps I am one for you.

~Gosh I
love the raindrops
They make a pretty sound
Falling from the heavens
Puddles to be found
Always love a puddle
Jump in with two feet
What a splash I'm making
For me it's such a treat
When the rain is pouring
It makes me feel so gay
For after rain the rainbow
To bring a special day
Just thought I would tell you
As I'm skipping through
Raindrops are like dewdrops
The nourish hearts so true.~
The
time has come for me to spread my wings and
move on to visit another member of the Garden of Friendship.
I hope you have enjoyed
the last few days and that it brought you many smiles.
I enjoyed spoiling you.
I am never far away in the Garden, and any time you need me, all you
have to do is call my name.
Please
feel free to email me any time, whether you need a friend, a shoulder
to cry on or someone to share a special moment with.
I am always here for you,
for I am your Garden Angel.
You may hear from me
again from time to time *s*.
I do have a small request for you.
I would ask that you
visit our Angel's page and pick up my last gift for you.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to get to know you this past
week or so. I wish you all the best, and may
happiness and sunshine
follow you wherever you may go, and I hope there is always a smile on
your face.

Jo
oh you are a jigsaw puzzlist like I am! :-)
When
I got kitties and a very inquisitive kidlet, I could not have actual
jigsaw puzzles. At one point, I had over 200 different ones,
usually they were 500 pieces but, there were a few I had that were over
2,000 pieces and one with 5000 pieces.
My
kidlet decided mom was on the phone too long (5 min) and decided to
sneak my puzzles open 10 of the boxes and heap them
all in a
pile. I had a mountain of pieces.
My failing eyes and fingers cannot handle
real pieces so I belong to a group on Yahoo called puzzles-unlimited

Dear
Special Friend,
For
the next couple of months you will be hearing
from
me weekly with little gifts, poems, and news
of
my family, and I hope to hear from you, also.
The
sun is shining warmly here in Tennessee
today,
after several days of rain, snow, and
freezing
temperatures. The grandkids spent
part
of Christmas vacation here, and we had
fun
making reindeer pancakes for breakfast.
As
we start this brand new year, I wish you the
best
of luck, the best of health, and all the
happiness
your heart can hold!

Dear
Special Friend,
Did
you know that January 29 is National Puzzle Day? As an avid puzzle
lover since I was very, very young, I would like to share with you some
of my favorites.
Some of the
very best puzzles come from Springbok, and can be found at Hallmark
stores, and online at www.springbok-puzzles.com
Another favorite is SunsOut. I especially love their Quilt puzzles,
which I buy online at www.sunsout.shptron.com,
and my grandkids love their cute kid puzzles, too.
But
you don’t have to spend any money at all. Every day I check out the
newest online puzzles at a fabulous site called JIGIDI, which has an
unending assortment of puzzles in all sizes that can be worked online.
You can take your time, save half-worked puzzles for another time, and
can even make your own puzzles to work yourself or share with others. I
am definitely addicted to this wonderful site! www.jigidi.com

you a wonderful week ahead!

JRR
Tolkien - Movie the Hobbit
It
took me a lot of years to start reading the Hobbit and the Lord of the
Rings. But when I finally started
to read it I rush to the bookstore to buy the books and start to read.
Every year I read it again in English
or Dutch.
Wow,
what a great story! I so love the world JRR Tolkien created long ago. I
am so glad that the wizard Peter Jackson stood up and colourized the
world of Lord of the Rings. Many, many times I watched
the movie in the cinema. What a magical story and what a great, great
world. Ofcourse
I bought
the books of the movies
and the dvd versions. So wow!
The
Hobbit - an unexpected journey is now in the cinema's and this time
Peter Jackson made 3 movies out of 1 book. Lord of the Rings is told in
3 books and has 3 movies. He has more time now to go deeper in the
things. Some say this slows
down the movie but I disagree. There is more time to discover the
worlds of the dwarves and the wizard Radagast and the magical world
creatures you meet.
A
long time ago I lost my heart to the wonderful world of Middle Earth
and again and again I still do.
What
a great movie and there is so much happening and so much possible now
with the computer effects. Still the magic exists
and I love to see it, again, again and again.
Did
you know I would
love
to live in Rivendell or in a hobbithole? Oh I love to dream about that.
It is all so wonderful and magical with a deep love for Mother Earth.
Do
you want to know what kind of Middle Earth Creature you are?Find
out:
I
am an Elf and I love that! I still have a crush on Legolas.
If
Garden of Friendship created
a committee of fantasy and the Middle Earth I would be
the one who would
immediately join!
Enjoy
looking and reading and loving the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
It
is a magical place where you love to live. I know I do!

Dear
Special Friend,
This
week we will celebrate Valentine’s Day, but to me
it feels as though it was yesterday....as I attended the
wedding of my granddaughter Katie.
Yes,
I have to admit a few tears were shed when I saw her
coming down the aisle on my son’s arm, looking so beautiful,
yet all I saw was a little girl that I called Katie Bear,
giggling and telling me “Grandma, I’m NOT a bear!”
And
so today I wish you a sweetheart of a week, filled
with all the love your heart can hold.

Have
a wonderful day!
More
than a year ago I
finally did something great. I went to the try out of the musicschool
and you could try all kinds of musicinstruments to see if it yours. I
always like harp so I did try that. For the first time I try a simple
child song by touching the string the teacher points at. I could play!
I had once a month lesson
on this magical instrument and save for buying a harp. These are very
expensive. And you have such a great ones. I looked on the internet and
saw such a beautiful ones and I saw myself playing romantic on that
with a long dress. I bought a Camac Morgane, about 20 years old. On a
rainy day I went to the store (a ride for a couple of hours) to buy the
one. I have my own harp!
I am almost 50 years old
and unfortunally I didnt learn anything about notes and music. And then
it is hard. Sometimes I see a glimpse of musicmagic but those moments
are rare. How many times I stuggled and struggled and often I set my
harp and do all kinds of cleaning things instead of playing. It is hard
to focus and to practice and practice. My fingers often are painful. It
is such a long way to learn something. There are days I hardly play but
sometimes I see some proof and know I have taken a little step on the
long music road.
Perhaps of my age or
having my second year of harp teachings but my taste in music slowly
are growing different. I got to like classic music and sometimes I recognize even a harp in a musicpart. I still
have a long way to go and the only way I learn is to play and practice
and practice over and over again. Then I get is slowly in my fingers.
Sometimes I lost everything again the next time. The dreams of music is
still there. Wish I started a long time ago. Wish I did it earlier! But
finally I did it. Looking back on my life I would love to have work in
the music business. It is a big ? to see if I succeed but when I hear
music or going to a concert I so enjoy it.
If you have a dream please
try to step in this. The way of learning is often hard and there is a
lot of struggle but then the moment of magic sometimes show and then
you know more about music and are surrounded by the colors of your
dream.
And here is a girl of
almost 50 years old, dreaming of music while the cats are running away
if they see I play my harp.
Oh
my Regina, what a wonderful surprise to have you as a Special Friend.
Of course I already considered you that already in a different sense of
the word. *smile* I want to thank you for the most gorgeous tags you

Hi
Regina, dear,
I
am so sorry I am just now getting your email answered. I am so far
behind on my emails that I don't think I will ever catch up. Of course
it would help if I have not had to do a bunch of running the past week
and not been able to be on my computer as much. *grins*
I
love the pictures of your kitties. They are beautiful. I have a cat I
"saved" as a very small kitty whose mother had abandoned. I had to feed
him with an eye dropper for the first week I had him. Then we went to a
doll bottle and when he chewed the nipple off of it, I stuck his nose
in a bowl of milk and made him learn to lap. From that little bitty
kitty I could hold in one hand, Boots has turned into a really big
kitty. I keep him inside all the time as I don't want him to wander off
into the highway and get run over. He has snuck out a couple times and
just scared me to death until I finally got him back in the house.
Big Hugs,

actually bloomed.

Hi

I was glad to see you pop into my mailbox today. These are such
beautiful flowers you grow. I really do thank you for sharing them with
me.
Friday
around noon or so I am leaving to go to my daughters for the weekend. I
am going with my son and his wife, so I am not going to have to drive.
All five of my children are going to be there together and I am so very
excited about that. This is the first time in around 15 years, I will
have all my children together at once. As you can probably tell, I am
very excited about it. It will be just a short visit as we will be
coming back home on Sunday afternoon.

Regina
goes smartphone
This
year I reach the age of 50. A milestone. And for some years I use a
nokia mobile to get around. I choose a pink design and place my
videoclips on it as well as my photo's of my animals, my friends and
from nature together with woman - romantic pictures.
Around
me slowly everyone get a smartphone but I was happy with my nokia pink
phone. I text alot and watch at lost moments my videoclips. And I was
happy at it.
But
my area turns into the smartphone and in my eyes it went easily and
without problems. I had a touchphone also but the battery went empty
when I needed it most so after replacing the battery an updating the
software, the problem was still there. One moment the battery was fully
charged and the next moment empty and dead.
But
finally I stepped over. Regina goes Smartphone.
First
the choice of the smartphone. That was hard. They cost a lot. Too much
I believe. At first I looked and choose some but when I watch the
prices I so delete my choices. Then I did my search again, trying to
get used to the things it does and how it works but to be honest I
didnt had a clue on what they talk about it. The reviews was not so
relyable also. One said that the camera was bad and the other one like
the camera the best.
Choosing
the smartphone I came in the world of apps and androids. I felt so blue
about it.
So
I made some choices and finally I went for a cheap Nokia smartphone. A
rozered colour. It is a Nokia Asha 311.
I
ordered it and got it. And there it was in my hand. A small thing with
3 inch screen and from my computer I place some pics on it and a few
video and trying to get my contacts on this one. That failed so I type
again everything in it. Lucky I dont have many friends ;-)
Somehow
I got internet working and first I looked at my homepages. So small and
not as I intended it. Please dont go to the homepages on the mobile.
That doesnt work. Please use a real computer.
And
now I am stepping in the world of apps and I dont know the meaning of
that word or what I can do. It is so strange to have a smartphone. And
this is only the cheap version. I feel so oldfashioned and so slowly I
get the things working or get what I wanted. On the internet there is
not much information about the Asha. All info goes out to the Lumia but
that is much expensive. No way I will buy that. I cant afford it.
So
Regina goes Smartphone but I wonder when the Smartphone does Regina
Please
tell me how you feel about the iphone and smartphone and mobiles. How
do you step into the world of computers and Iphone and
smartphone.
If
you have questions about computers and so please contact Preacherman or
read his articles. They are so usefull and Preacherman has a way to

Hi
Regina, WOW it’s beautiful and I will treasure it.
Text
from a song by a dutch singer Boudewijn
de Groot.
Looking
back through the crystal of colours
at the good things gone by in your life.
Don't you see that they're vague and deceptive
and you'll never return though you try.
It's easy to follow
and it's hard to make your own way.
So you think and you dream,
trying to find the missing link in your life.
As you walk through your days of confusion
and you cry because something seems lost,
you feel helpless and sad as you wonder
without knowing what fine that it costs.
It's easy to sorrow
and it's hard to live something new.
So you just wait and see,
this will never set you free in your life.
If you dream of a mountain of golden
that will shine out for what you are worth.
When you wake, don't start wasting the morning
for a mountain is part of this earth.
It's easy to linger
and it's hard to climb that old high.
So you sit and you pray
for a short and easy way in your life.
So how come you are feeling so lonely,
you've got friends taking good care of you.
And they're all so alike and they love you,
but you never can tell who is who.
It's easy not to wonder
and it's hard to think for yourself.
Where am I, who are they?
It could be the longest day in your life....
Regina:
Yesterday
I was listening to this song I so like. I sing sometimes with it but
yesterday I did only listening. This year I reach the age of 50 years
and then reflection is in my life. Looking back on my life in different
stages. The things I do and the things I didnt do. What I have. What I
miss. My good things or the ones that feels wrong or came out wrong.
Every time I see and read and hear this song it is so true.
The
world is changing. What today is, can tomorrow be gone. For me it is
changing to fast already. Often I dont like the new things. They are
going to fast for me. When I was young I thought I will find my place
and find my kind of treasure. When you are older you starting to
realize the gift of treasure will not come. You have to go on in your
work for many years and every day is a bit harder than the day before.
You start to worry if you can do your job in ten years time after now.
Maybe your job doesnt exist anymore. What then?
Am
I starting to complain? Will I be a nagging lady? I fear I am. My mind
is aging but my body to. When I am finally there? Where is there? No
one knows. So what must I do to feel and to create my own place?
Gandalf (JRR Tolkien - Lord of the Rings): "All we have to
decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
The
lyric in the song is so true. Again I listen to it. And I have my task
done for the Friendship Newsletter. I am happy with Garden of

About
what I learned of Guinea Pigs
As
a child I fought to buy a Guinea Pig. It became my friend. I took a
female and she was big and black and because of that I call her Miss
Donna (from Donna Summer) And this was an animal who knew what she
wants. I learned so much from her. She knew what she wants. She gets
what she wants. I learned life because of this great small guinea pig.
As a child I had not a good childhood and till the day of today I feel
the basic of who I am is unsecure and unloved. You know when you
treated like a useless glass you never feel a jewel.
But
back to the guinea pig story. After Miss Donna a lot followed. Some
abused or not wanted and I travel a lot of miles to took them from a
dutch shelter. Sometimes I had tragedies, guinea pigs who died too
soon, even a marten took them in a crowded place where I live. I secure
the place after that.
Now
I have them in a little wooden gardenhouse with an outrun outside. When
it is very cold in the winter I place a thick blanket inside the little
houses in the place and they have it warm and cozy. As long as the wind
not blows to them they are fine. Often when its cold they are waiting
impatiently on me when I am sitting by the heater. The neighbours gives
parts of the fruits to us so we can feed the guinea pigs. And I buy
them salad or give them dandelion they so like.
Right
now we move the gardenhouse a bit and my spouse will arrange the
indoors better and more practical. My guinea pigs dont care. As long as
they have their green food and they go outside everything is okay. They
are so full of live and healty. I watch their nails and teeth but
walking outside and the food takes care of growing too long. They are
so funny. I can watch them for hours, never bored. I can even hear when
the neighbours placing the foodplate cause they are squeak so nicely.
Then they search the melon peel at first and run inside to hide it from
another or eating it and run for the next delicious thing. I always
wonder if their mouth must hurt because they eat so fast and many.
Sometimes I hide food but they are running straight on it. The guinea
pigs arent afraid of the cats who use their shelter to cross over to
another area of the garden.
If
you want to know everything about life, watch guinea pigs. They learn
you everything big in their small worlds.

Time passing by, deeply in despair

Nothing more obtain
Fading away
Hoping her end is humane

Hi,
Regina,
I
just had to write and tell you how glad I am that your poem won first
place!! It was the one I voted for, and by far my
favorite....it
evoked so much feeling, which is what I look for in a poem, and I loved
the writing style as well, which made it very readable.

In my Fantasy
World I have the colors that speaks to me
They show me a world that is glorious to see
Trees with leaves so gold
What a beauty to hold
They stand their like a beautiful queen
having barks showing immense green
Flowers with a silvery light
Colors so sparkling bright
Pink butterflies fluttering on a meadow
Under the sun, shining golden yellow
Even fairies with their wings so blue
where their jewels glow with the flow
Even gray is a shining color too
What a wonderful fantasy I have in my mind
every time; a spectral renew
with a smile I love the fantasy I designed

When
life is tough
Sometimes
life is easy and the weather is calm in a persons life. Sometimes it
rains to long or it is to dry and rarely the weather is wonderful.
Sometimes you get a storm and sometimes the storm will last and the
rage is enormous.
Everyone
has such a fase like that. And what you are going to do?
Sometimes
you must seek shelter or you offer something that is very dear to you.
I learned things arent go away. It calming perhaps but it doesnt go
away. Giving advice is also very difficult. What can you say? What not?
What by one person helps will make it worse by another person. You must
deal with the problems. The easiest way is to run away or leave it as
it is but the struggle to get your teeth into it takes a lot of courage
and power that you dont always have.
Sometimes
I am brave. Not always. I am a coward too. I worry a lot and when I
look after that I laugh and thinks "was that all?"
Time
let us the bad things forgotten also. It smooths memories to a glad
surfance. It let you forgot things like how hard it was.
No,
I cant tell any solutions. Many books are written how to deal problems.
Sometimes it will help you but it can bring you down. Often I be
chewing on something but I am good at running away either. I can take
things from good books to gather strenght. That helps a bit.
On
a mysty road it is difficult to see where you going. Are you take the
right way? How do you know what the right way is? Please dont look to
much forward. Then you can easily trip and fall. Take one step at the
time.
Often
we make it to hard for ourselfs. That is one thing we are good at it.
Much rules and things make it more complicated that we need and want.
And how many times you made the same mistake? I do!
And
finally when you have overcome the storm in your life you can perhaps
for a short time easily sit back in a rocking chair in the sun with a
cup of tea and then you see the next storm making the clouds dark and
the sun hide.
But that
is life

Working
in my garden
I
so love nature and flowers and in the time of rain we have the weed
grow and my plants are everywhere I dont want them and in a short time
a lot of them starts to bloom. Time to do some gardening.
The
second I am in my garden with my wooden shoes and pulling some weed,
one of my cats are sitting at the edge and looks on what I trying to
do. Put some order in the garden. She looks at me and sit right in
front of me where I just start so delete some weed.
"Buffy
I try to do
something here." The black and white cat sits and stare at me. Mm, ok,
then I start on a different corner.
When
I remove some
plants and accendently remove a flower with it that I hadnt pick it up
I go to the kitchen and put the Meadow
Cranesbill on the vase and remove its wild brother with the lovely pink
little flowers that has its roots as a spider just above the ground. I
just look at my clothes that isnt fit for my dirty job. I did just a
little and already I am dirty and my clothes too. Mm, ok, that is why
the washing machine is invented.
Eager
to get started I try again and this time Buffy needs a lot of stokes
and hugs. She bumps to me and doesnt leave me alone. I stretch my back
and feeling the age on me. Soon I hit my age at 50! Bending over I give
Buffy her treat and go the garden and remove grass in the flowerbed.
That is for my guineapigs and they are screaming for it. They love to
get the dandolins in the garden too. Would they never get tired to eat
so much? Their mouths are eating fast all the green away, stretching
for more. Some bloomed parts of the red rose I remove. You know that is
the trick to let the bush blooms again. This year the bush has again a
lot of roses.
Ok,
back to the garden. Some hands full are removed and I see the lily's
are blooming in a few weeks. They are so great. My garden is too small
for all the flowers I have. They are growing and what in the winter
looks deserted, in the summer they take everything they could get. I so
wish I had a bigger garden. That plant I took with me, now 10 years
ago.. with me when I was starting to live here in the house with my
spouce. And the Rhus
typhina barely survive the movement back then and it is now a big tree,
sheltering a part of the garden. Everywhere I had to move the little
ones from the mother tree, the roots are everywhere.
For
ten minutes I work hard and then Buffy decided to do nice again so she
rolls at my feet and show how bendy she is. When Sita the white and
black cat comes in the garden to see what I am doing or dont believe I
so hard work now, Buffy jumps up and runs after the cat. They dont like
each other but the managed most of the time. On a empty spot I plant
the little sunflowers I breed from seed from the guineapig food and
knows that the plants are growing. Even the seed from some years back
has life in it. Most of the plants will grow out to big sunflowers. I
give them water and my hands are very muddy. Sitting down on the ground
I wipe my hands to Buffy when she comes back and steps almost on the
sunflowers. Then I am getting up and store the gardentools. Hopefully
next time I do some more.
When
I am washing my hands I look again to the garden. It is still messy but
he, this is my garden and I love weed as much I do for other flowers.
The problem is that my garden too small is for all my plants.
Sita
runs inside and Buffy sits on the chair in the garden and look at the
work I did. Guess she dont give me a high number for the job I did. I
smile and wash my hands again to remove the sand. I so deserve the
shower with the rose parfum!

About
my grandmother.....
On
a very old age she died, almost twenty years ago. My grandmother.
Sometimes I remember her when I was a child (a long time ago) She made
always pancakes for us with selfmade berry marmelade from her farm
garden. She was always busy from when she was standing up till she goes
to bed. I guess it wasnt allowed to do nothing, even when the
housekeeping was done she was busy with knitting or reparing clothes.
My grandmother was a real farm woman so she worked hard. Her life wasnt
easy cause she suffered from child losses and she had to face two world
wars, but that was things they never told about. Now it seems to me you
didnt share your problems or feelings. When I am thinking about it I
think it isnt so good cause I would love to hear the stories to learn
and to share the pain. And when you have to much unspoken things inside
they will hurt you. I wish I could talk with my grandmother to listen
to her and to learn from it.
She
was very economic, she was always hiding she uses the same teabag over
and over again. Nothing was spilled. Left overs was used again and
again and after that it went to the farmanimals. I remember she coocked
from the same pots and often they had the same (often self made) wooden
spoons and other cooking stuff. Every saterday she cleaned and polished
the old fashioned stove. I wonder what she is thinking now when she saw
how the world changed so much. Guess she couldnt take it. But if she
lives she would be 114 years old. I think that is too much. I cant
compete anymore with the new stuff so I do it old fashioned with
websets and no facebook or blogging or so.
Everytime
I was visit her I would get some money. That happend secretly. She
always give me (and her other grandchilderen) money, pushed in my hand
and dont dare to say thanks. You didnt talk about feelings and say
thanks. Everytime when the news was on the radio, the volume was turned
up so they couldnt miss anything and expectially the weatherinformation
was important.
On
the farm they had a flowergarden with old fashioned flowers and a
vegetable part where they was cultivate potatoes, stawberries, beans
and gooseberries. Oh those I still remember. When I can I helped (yes
and eat too) picked those. Here something that looks delicious.
Apple
and Gooseberry Pie Filling
Fills
one 9″ pie
Ingredients
9 Honey Crisp Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/4″ slices
2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
1 pint of Gooseberries, de-husked and washed
2 tablespoons Salted Butter or Unsalted plus a pinch of salt
3/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
2 tablespoons Apple Pie Spice
1 tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup King
Arthur Flour Pie Filling Enhancer
Directions
Peel, core, and slice apples into 1/4″ thick slices. Place in a bowl
and sprinkle with lemon or lime juice, whatever you have on hand.
De-husk and wash gooseberries.
In
a large pan, melt butter on medium heat. Add sugar, apple pie spice,
and vanilla extract. When well combined and liquidy, add apple slices
and gooseberries. Stir well to coat the fruit, then reduce heat to low
and simmer for half an hour to an hour, until fruit is nice and soft.
In
the meantime, prepare your favorite pie crust for a 2-crust pie.
Homemade, store-bought, we’re not going to judge.
When
the fruit is nice and soft, add KAF’s Pie Filling Enhancer and stir
continuously until liquid is thickened. Immediately pour into prepared
pie crust lined dish and top with second pie crust. Make sure to vent.
Bake
at 425F until golden brown, usually about an hour. Make sure to cover
the edges until about the last 20 minutes of baking to prevent
over-browning.
This
filling can also be used in cobblers, crumbles, or crepes. Enjoy!
A
appletree was growing there also. Every apple was saved and even when
they had some worms in it they was used for making jam or applesauce.
Only
small belonings (about learning housekeeping ) lessons writing in an
old notebook I have (what a a wonderful handwriting she had) and some
selfmade photo's where she worked in the kitchen, made by a photocamera
where you have to wait for a week to pick up the photo's in the
photostore, does anyone remember that?
Sometimes
I miss her and wish I could talk with her as adults now. But her time
is gone and I am glad I have the memories.

Hugs

Hello
My Friend,
I hope you have had a wonderful productive week. The weather and
temperature has been just wonderful here. We have been having high
temps in the middle 70's so I have been able to turn off my A/C and
open up all my windows and enjoy this nice fresh weather. I just hate
it when I have to close up my house to run the A/C. From the way our
weatherman has been talking we may be through with the hot weather for
this year. I hope so. I have enclosed 2 picture of our road, this way
you can kinda see where I live. One was taken in the summer and the
other in the fall. My nearest neighbor is 3/4 to a mile down the road
from me.

Hello
My Friend,
I hope you have had a wonderful productive week. The weather and
temperature has been just wonderful here. It as even been getting a
little on the cool side here. The leaves have started to turn their
autumn colors, I'm going to give them just about another week then take
my camera and go out and start taking some pictures. I love living out
in the country like we do, my nearest neighbor is 3/4 to a mile down
the road from me. I have been doing some of my Christmas shopping, I
like to start early so it isn't a burden but a joy to do. I love
everything about Christmas, the hustle and bustle of shopping, the
decorating, the cooking and baking, and the creating.
Have a wonderful blessed week.
Hello My Friend,
I hope you have had a wonderful productive week. The weather and
temperature have taken a turn to the cold side. It is more like what we
call Indian Summer here with the cold nights and mild days. The leaves
are turning to their autumn colors, I have been taking a few pictures
around about the county. I love living out in the country like we do,
my nearest neighbor is 3/4 to a mile down the road from me. I have done
all the Christmas shopping that I am going to do, because my husband
and I have a little tradition that we do. We do the Black Friday
shopping and then go out to breakfast. It has been our tradistion since
we started dating. I only have 3 names left on our list but I love our
together time at this time of the year. I love everything about
Christmas, mainly because my husband is there with me shopping and
decorating the tree with me. I have attached some pictures of Autumn in
the Ozarks here where I live. They were taken in this county and the
surrounding counties.
Have a wonderful blessed week.
This
will be the last time I get to visit with you I have so enjoyed our

Down
in a
green and shady bed,
A
modest
violet grew;
Its
stalk
was bent, it hung its head
As
if to ide
from view.
And
yet it
was a lovely flower,
Its
color
bright and fair;
It
might
have graced a rosy bower,
Instead
of
hiding there.
Yet
thus it
was content to bloom,
In
modest
tints arrayed;
And
there
diffused a sweet perfume,
Within
the
silent shade.
Then
let me
to the valley go
This
pretty
flower to see;
That
I may
also learn to grow
In

Autumn time
The Rhus typhina tree
has wonderful red leaves and wear the red plume with proud care. This
tree is so soft and I like it so much. Generous it spread the young
trees around and if I let it I get a garden full of the rhus typhina
tree. On the foot of this tree I see the red leaves already dropped
off. What a wonderful colours!
On the grass around
there is a lot of mushrooms. I never saw it that much. Yes autumn here.
It is my kind of season. Next week I have a few days off and ofcourse I
will walk into my beloved forest. Meeting my old friends; the trees.
Then problems and worries will be disappear. Then I can breath again
and smile and enjoy what I see.
Then
I shall wonder why I do this not so much. Why do I do the things I
think I must done. Why let I so often let people go first and when I
drained of energy and so tired then I think of myself. Last year I
bought two yoga books and did some extersize and they help me but for
months now the books are closed. I read a few pages in a book and fel
to sleep and later on that night dreams are making me think or I cant
sleep so well.
Autumn is a season of
cleaning and see what you think you need or tidy up things. Autumn let
you make room for other things. I so hope I do that. I so hope get my
life a bit rounder cause the last years it is getting very square.
Getting older. Getting
crazier. But this lady leaves next week everything behind and walk her
way in the forest. I hope you do something for yourself too. You
deserve it.

AGENDA
When
the last months of a year starts I always look what I can use for an
AGENDA. Some years ago I made them in an empty book but I made always
mistakes with the date and day. Every year I start to make them but
when I find a wonderful looking agenda in the store I throw
away
my failure Agenda and buy the agenda. Last year I did an very expensive
now but this year I am so happy with my cheep and friendly looking
Agenda.
When
I come home I fill in the birthdays and a lot of animal information,
When the dog or cat was coming into my life or passed away or when they
was born when I know. Year after year this list grows.
Then when I was
visiting wonderful artists or really, really special dates and then I
look on what day my birthday is.
Sitting
on the cough or close to a stove and flipping to the pages, seeing the
pictures and now it is that the days of 2014 lay in front of me, empty
and blank and I wonder what they will bring....
It
seems to me when you are getting older every year will be heavier too.
When I have time I take the old Agenda that is big with all kinds of
information what I visit and sometimes a page of a newsletter or memo's
so I must be careful when nothing falls out of it. Then I flip from
month to month, from year to year and see what I did or feel or where I
stand in life. All kinds of memories are locked up in books.
I
know it is early but I wish you Good Days in 2013 and enjoy the days in
2014. We will have storm, sunshine, wind and rain and snow and we go on
with Garden of Friendship!

An
Angel's Love
When I
have no one to turn to
And I am feeling kind of low,
When there is no one to talk to
And nowhere I want to go,
I search deep within myself
It is the love inside my heart
That lets me know my Angels are there
Even though we are miles apart.
A
smile then appears upon my face
And the sun begins to shine.
I hear a voice, so soft and sweet
Saying, 'Everything will be just fine'
It may seem that I am alone
But I am never by myself at all.
Whenever I need my Angels near
All I have to do is call.
An
Angel's love is always true
On that you can depend.
They will always stand behind you
And will always be your friend.
Through darkest hours and brightest days
Our Angels see us through.
You are one of my Angels.
Perhaps I am one for you.

I will be keeping touch with you thru out the month.

I am the proud grandmother to two boys. The youngest lives in Florida

The oldest on lives near me, But for unfortunate circumstances I cant

well. All is good here in Southern Maine.

I
am so wishing for
spring to see the flowers blown and the grass turn green.
After
this winter I
don't even care about the mud! Hahaha.
I
have been busy with
my grandson Aiden he is five. He is finally back in my life again.
I
watch his during the day for his other grandparents, I also take him to
school and pick him up. Then in the afternoon I take my husband to work.
Because
we only have
one vehicle makes it kinda rough but it is well worth spending time
with Aiden.
I
would really like to
hear from you sometime. Well Aiden should be here any minute so I must
go.

Dreams...
Sitting
cozy on the chair with my cat next to
me and a cop of coffee I start this article and after staring long to
the screen I start with dreams. Every person has it.
Dreaming
of fame, succes and money, dreaming
of life or love...
I
guess without dreams life is colorless. I
surely needs it. Without dreams I dont survive.
There
was a time that I read travelstories.
People who walked through countries or by bycle or even a horse. People
who sail away, meeting different coasts and countries. Meeting other
people. Chasing your dreams. I always imagine and fantasize myself to
that journey. Making my life as beautiful as possible. To be an
adventure with all its glory.
Sitting
in the chair I have to smile.
Ofcourse things arent always well. When you are sitting in your
livingroom or living life outside on the road. Danger can be
everywhere. And how about sleeping while you are on the travel? And the
eating?
My
cat Buffy wants to get some attention. I
give it to her and it cross my mind that this little black and white
creature is only a small tiger. Still she perfers the life with me,
always food and wonderful spots where she can sleeps.
Do
you dream sometimes? I do.
I
want to write a book but then it has been
weeks since I write to it. Days are spending with daily things. But if
I really, really want to do it, you really find a way to make it true.
I
wanted to express myself in music. When I
visit the theather and see the stars singing their songs I wish I could
stand there even I dont have a talent or a great voice. Still I feel
the music moving my body and fears are not important when you stand
before the crowd.
I
wish I had money enough. Then I could buy
myself a house where some animals and people can find a place where
they can make their lives there. I wish I could help with my money for
others to forfill their dreams and grow something good there. My admire
goes to people who help others.
But
still here I am, taking a chocolate and
enjoying its deelight.
In
dreams there are no dark storms and bad
luck. Or when it is, you easily overcome that. In dreams there is
succes and happiness at the end of the rainbow. In dreams everything is
possible.
I
smile to myself. Perhaps I will never go
around the world and meeting what I like to meet. Unfortunally I dont
have the money for it and the years are running fast now. But still the
dreams are mine.
What
is your dream? What would you like to do?
Some
wise words at the end of this
dreamstory...
I would say, enjoy the day
If you go or like to stay
as long as you walk your own way
Buffy
has her catdreams now and ofcourse I
take another chocolate by my coffee. :-)

Oh
my goodness, what a lovely gift is this sigtag!!!! You have
captured so much that is me!! The setting, the trees, a verse
from my favorite Bible chapter,
and even the dappled grey horse is what
I would wish to have if I could have a horse!!
I will use
this
sigtag proudly and will tell everyone it is from my dear friend
Regina!!
Thank
you so much!
Big
Hugs,

What
a beautiful card, thank you so much! Grandma Bunny has been coloring
over a hundred eggs today, for the grandkids to hunt tomorrow after
church....
Grandma doesn't hop as
fast as she used to, but will do her
best to get them all hidden in time. :-) Wishing you a most blessed
Easter, sweet friend,
with love from Grandma
Lyn
Oh,
my goodness, thank you, thank you, thank you, these tags are just
fabulous!! But I am so sad to know this is your last visit.
It’s
always so great to hear from you! I will go sign the
guestbook
right now because I don’t want to forget it.
Love
and Great Big Hugs to
You....

Before
I start writing my article I wonder
and let my thoughts drift away all kinds of directions, wondering what
I start to write about.
I
choose Love now. Cause it is a bumpy road.
It is not easy.
Today
in my lovelife my spouse and I where
talking about our relationship. We have good things here but also bad
times. Around 11 years we are together and at times he makes me very
unhappy but I met also happy times with him. I guess it is the other
way around too.
Sometimes
it feels the fuel has run out. I
guess in a way I am happier alone. Certainly more creative. But we
share a house together and selling it means a lot of trouble and we
left with a debt. Then see if you find houses for ourselfs. Something I
so fear.
But
men and women are so different. I compare
our relationship with the sitcom According to Jim. I think you see how
men are and thinking. I dont want to offend anyone. And ofcourse it is
played in a smiling way. But still women comes from Venus and man from
Mars.
We
are still together, walking on the bumpy
love road. I dont know how it ends.
Many
books and movies have the subject love.
A
lot of songs are written on love. Some are
really heartbreaking.
I
love to listen to Bon Voyage from Kim
Carnes and Its over by Level 42 but also Stay with me till dawin by
Judy Tsuke. And lately I like to read lovebooks. I start to write (in
dutch) a book to but lately I dont added lines to it.
I
want to finish positive so I close with:
Kahlil Gibran on Love
When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for
your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches
that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to
the earth.
Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred
bread for God's sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets
of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.
But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's
pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of
love's threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your
laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.
Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.
When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I
am in the heart of God."
And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds
you worthy, directs your course.
Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of
loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a
song of praise upon your lips.

Regina
I
am PsLoveSheila and I will be your special friend for the next few
weeks.
I
will be sending you little little things to put a smile on your face I
hope :D .
Also
I hope to get to know you my friend a little better. We all
can use another friend cant we ??
I
hope that I am a friend that you will be willing to lean on and come
too if you ever need me :)
Thanks
to internet a friend Ageetha as contacting me a few months ago. Around
the year 1995 we saw each other, we where visiting Melissa Etheridge
when she came to the Netherlands. We share our pain and friendship and
lots of coffee and candles and music. We just started our lives and
talked about our dreams and expectations. The first computers (heavy
and simple) just started and the first mobile telephones.
Sometimes
we worked together for a party event
agency. We cleaned and prepare but also we paint the icecream cars
together and played as clowns or cowgirls. We talked about life and
boyfriends.
The
party event agency went broke and a lot was changing with some friends
our friendship ended. Ageetha moved away, following her husband and I
went to my search to another work. Too fast we didn't saw each other
and the other members of the event agency did go their way and we lost
each other.
Sometimes
I googled Ageetha but it was she who find me. And last week we saw each
other after trying and trying to get a meeting. Meanwhile I
live together with my spouse and his two sons and she was became mother
and got a grandchild also. Now she is in the middle of the divorce now.
But
this lady is strong. Always has. She is so strong and warm. Her trust
is as roots as a tree so deep in Mother Earth. Her love and warm is as
wide as branches of a grown tree. I never met any woman that is so
strong as she is. And after mm, it must be 25 years later, she is back
(and I am too). Our friendship starts to grow again.
Again
we have to know each other, talking about the good old times and the
people we lost contact too. Walked around the time of then, the
memories of that time and what we have from each other, some letters or
photo's and more and more memories are coming up.
Now
with mobile and what's app we stay in contact. The whole world has
changed. And we meet again of course. We even talked a bit about a
reunion of people of the event agency but that has to wait till she has
her live a bit on order.
She
is not changed. You can see I reach the age of 50 but Ageetha didn't
change much.
It
feels wonderful to see her and talk years by a few hours... Time is too
short. And when I drive to home I was thinking more to say and more and
more things are popping up in my mind. Things I thought I forgot comes
back (sometimes slowly)
It
is wonderful but yes strange too. So much time between us and I forgot
a lot what is happening then. Our friendship comes from the past but we
have to add new things to our friendship also in the future.
She
and her friendship is a gift but still it feels strange. It feels like
I dont know how this looks like. I am so aware about the time back then
and how life is now.
I
step on the path of friendship again... wondering how the journey
goes....
Hi Regina
The Miracle
Of Friendship
There is a miracle called Friendship
That dwells within the heart
And you don't know how it happens
Or when it even starts.
But the happiness it brings you
Always gives a special lift
And you realize that Friendship
Is God's most precious gift.

I love this, thank you. I am far behind
with
mail, I know you’ve sent more, and it is appreciated.
I’m still battling the bacteria in my
lungs, and
now we’re trying a new
tactic to try to get rid of it. It’s getting old, but hopefully this
will work. One of the antibiotics I do with breathing treatments. It’s
very resistant to antibiotics. If this doesn’t work then the next step
I think is making several trips a day to the hospital for intravenous
antibiotics. I’m tired and frustrated. Thank you for letting me cry on
your shoulder. Love you much my friend. JusKuntree.
Cherished Friends
God must have known there would be times
We'd need a word of cheer,
Someone to praise a triumph
Or brush away a tear.
He must have known we'd need to share
The joy of "little things"
In order to appreciate
The happiness life brings.
I think He knew our troubled hearts
Would sometimes throb with pain,
At trials and misfortunes,
Or goals we can't attain.
He knew we'd need the comfort
Of an understanding heart
To give us strength and courage
To make a fresh, new start.
He knew we'd need companionship,
Unselfish... Lasting... True,
And so God answered the heart's great need
With cherished friends... Like you!

Hi Regina
You remind me
of a flower,
Pretty, inside and outside.
A reason why people smile everyday,
A gift to all.
You remind me of chocolate,
Luscious and sweet.
Someone people can turn to in crisis,
Loved by all.
You remind me of a teddy,
Cute and huggable.
Someone people feel comfortable with,
Special to all.
You remind me of a balloon,
Happy and bouncy.
Someone people can have fun with,
Enjoyed by all.
You remind me of a lot of things,
But nothing can compare to the real person,
A friend I can look up to,
Cherished by me.

Hello Regina,
Thank you for sending the blank gifts. I will use them when I can send
special support messages.
Please excuse my being MIA from the Newsletter and Special Friends
committees this past week? While we are now back to our usual routine
after our return from visiting my family in the US, since we brought
our grandson (he is four years old) along with us on the voyage,
children usually take a little longer so he has been staying with us
for a short while. Also, with the damp weather I've had some arthritis
pain in my shoulders and hands for a few days thus the reason why I
wasn't able to send in my Newsletter article. If it's still possible to
send it in I can have it ready for you later today. Today our grandson
is with us but I can take a few moments to send it to the Yahoo group.
I will also do my Special Friends list a little later today as well.
Congratulations on winning the Rose; you really
deserve it!
P.S. I am wondering if when you have a moment if
you can help me update my web site.
Thank you and best wishes for a happy midweek!
Hi Regina,
I want you to
know you are in my thoughts today.
I hope your
day is filled to sunshine..
A friend is someone we turn to
When our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
For our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
With beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in
A better and happier place.
- Jean Kyler McManus -
Hello Regina
I hope your week has been
going good..
And that my little gifts
have been making you smile..
When we honestly ask
ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us
We often find
that it is those who instead of giving advice solutions or cures
Have chosen
rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender
hand.
The friend who can be
silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion
Who can stay with us in an
hour of grief and bereavement
Who can tolerate not
knowing not curing not healing and face with us the reality of our
powerlessness that is a friend who cares.
Too bad the girl in
the tag doesn't have dark hair...I am no where near blond..just salt
and pepper colour.
(Photo taken last
Sunday) I'll be 83 in august...Still hanging in..ha ha..
but it is lovely with
the wolf..
Thank you for the
gifts..
And thank you fro
being so sweet.
Mom
Thank
you, Regina, for your very nice

My old teddybear
almost as old as I am
He is the only with the heart of gold
His golden fur is mostly gone
But his sunlight brown eyes sparkle
We are growing old
My old teddybear even has not a name
But this does not matter
We have a strong friendship that stays the same
He comfort me when I am sad.
He smiles when I am glad
We are never apart
My old tears found a way into his heart
This old, worn out teddybear is with me
And together we are free
Standing watch by my bed
is my old teddybear
Useless for anyone but priceless for me

Hi, Regina,
These tags are all just darling, thank you
so much!! You are the best special friend ever!!
Haven’t
been on the computer much the last few days, as it hurt just to have my
arm on the desk. I was stung on the wrist last Sunday by a
wasp,
while I was pulling some weeds in the back yard, and my whole right arm
has been swollen, red, painful, and oh, so ITCHY I could hardly stand
it! I’ve been stung a few times before and have never had
much of
a reaction, so this really surprised me.
Anyway, much better now....and going to go
sign the guestbook.
BIG HUGS to you and more thanks!!
I especially love this teapot!!

Hi,
Regina,
It’s
been a busy week for me, then no school today so I had some of the
grandkids last night and today, for a sleepover. Lots of fun
but
I am a bit tired tonight and just now getting to my mail, as the kids
have been on my computer a good part of the day.
Love
the photos from Moon and Back. It’s been a long time since I
visited their site, I used to go there for websets and loved their
work, but I don’t make many webpages any more. Maybe I should
go
take another look around.
Also
just love your tag of the daisies and the curtains blowing, that is so
pretty!

Hi Regina
Angels trust that we each have our own runway and will take off on
schedule.
Below is a poem to share it with
you. I also have included little gifts for you.
Come fly with me beyond the stars where
angels are, beyond our fears.
Where Angels are and there together sit
beside, the hands of God.
We watch the day approach when we will fly.
We’ll see our many wishes touch the sky and
happiness become a dream that lives in peace and harmony and doesn’t
die.
Angel Blessings, Earth Angel Garden of
Friendship

river of life flows with angels upstream, blending bliss and sadness
with the knowledge that you’ll meet happiness around the bend.
Remember the rustle of the wind reminds us an angel is near.

Of
course I am not surprised - your site is so beautiful. Vintage
Autumn
is my favorite
season also, and oh, goodness, a BAKING card, what could be more
perfect? Of course I had to look at it three times to see all the
recipes! The plum tart was tempting, and I love apple dumplings, but
it's the crumble that stole my heart and that I'm most likely to be
making soon, yummy!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Hugs from
Grandma Lyn
Its been a little
while since I sent out my
messages to my Special Friends..........so here I am sending one to
you. It is raining here today, not nice weather here at all.
What is it like where you live?.............Have a great day.
Wow! So many beautiful
gifts! Thanks so much for your visit Regina!
I shall go and sign the
guestbook now.

Birgitta
